Well America, my daughter is transitioning into young adulthood.
I don't know if I am ready to let her go. She is so driven, so motivated, and determined to go out into the world and build a successful career and life. That's a good thing, I am happy that she is ambitious and not afraid to face new challenges....But the mommy in me is sad, because she is my baby.

WHY YOU ASKING ALL THEM QUESTIONS .. FCHW
I can't get this rap out of head....LOL! These young men have summed up a few relationship issues in a rap, it is pretty funny, because I have actually witness young ladies acting the way they describe in this video.
Hello America
It's been awhile since my last post. I haven't done much to really blog about, but it is always nice to reconnect with the nation about the going ons in life.
Well, America, my son has made it to his last year of college. It is hard to believe that time has gone by that fast. I am proud of him, and I pray (as I hope that you all will) that he reaches his dream of playing in the NFL...but if that is not God's plan then I pray for his success in whatever he is called to do.
Well America, I will try to get back into blogging mode again. I have been studying with a great bible study group and I am growing in God's Word. The life application, the testimony, and the dedication of learning God's Word has taught me to be more discipline in my study.
If you are not in a Sunday School or Bible Study group...then dust off your bible and find yourself a church home to study with. If you are on the Monterey Peninsula, you are always welcome to fellowship at New Hope Baptist Church in Seaside (www.nhbc-seaside.com)
God Bless, America

Can you believe my daughter went to her first JROTC Ball, and she had a date!!! I am not ready for my little girl to be doing all this, but I know she has to grow up and I have to let go.
It's funny, we know that one day our children will grow up and go off to have lives of their own. But when it actually happens we are not really prepared to let them go. Oh sure, we trash talk and tell them "as soon as you hit 18 you got to hit the door", but in our hearts we are just as scared as they are.
My apartment over looks the golf course, which have proven to be quit entertaining. I have watched golfers play in the wind and rain...that's dedication that I can't commit to.
Unfortunately, moving into an apartment meant that I had to give up my pal Merci....:o( She has been placed in a good home, and I get to hear fun stories of how she is doing. I am happy to hear how she has blessed the life of her new owner. Well America, I will try to get back into blogging mode again. My Babies have Grown
Well, America I didn't think it would happen so fast.
I know that when we have children we are to enjoy every moment that we are with them...love them, nurture them (even if we have to whip that behind from time to time...lol!), and train them up in the way of the Lord (Proverbs 22:6). I miss my babies...I went from being called "Mommy" to just "Ma".
My son is doing well in Washington at Central Washington University. In the Monterey Herald today (December 5,2011) John Devine wrote about Deionte leading the Wildcats in tackles this season. Of Central Washington's 65 tackles, 41 of them were solo tackles by Deionte....that's amazing to me, because his position is "Safety". My little girl is busy playing basketball for Seaside High, active on the JROTC Drill Team and Raider team.
I am proud of my babies, and they are doing what I raise them to do.....
My prayer is that they accomplish the goals they set, and live successful lives with careers they enjoy.

Look at them...my son is now a man and my little girl is now a young lady.
Sometimes I wonder, did I teach them everything they need to know to be
productive and independent? I am constantly praying, asking God to keep watch over them.

L.A. Babies
I love seeing my nieces and nephews. Spending a weekend with them is like going to Disneyland, they are so entertaining and full of life. I am proud of those little jokers...:o)
If was a fun week weekend...I got to go hang out on Crenshaw Blvd for the Taste of Soul Celebration.
It was a fun weekend for all.
Don't they just make you smile when you look at them!
This is my little Chapel, he sure does know how to steal
his Aun-Cee's heart.
He's very alert to be 3mo, the boy pays attention to
his surroundings...
and he loves to chat...his name should be changed to
Chatty Chapel. He's a happy little guy & I love him bunches!
Of course when in L.A. you will see interesting people and things...so while driving down the street, I just had to pull over and have my picture taken in this giant chair.
And of course DeNevia and Tatiana had to get in on the action!
What a great chair to use for "Time Out" for Ms. Tatiana when she gets out of line...:o)
Lots of people attended, you know I don't get to see this
many black folk where I live...LOL!
some were dressed in interesting costumes.
Queen Latifia made a guest appearance, along with Naughty by Nature, Eric Bonet, and Tyrese. It was a fun weekend for all.

Aun-Cee visits with the Babies
Over the weekend I decided to gather up the energy to go hang out with the nieces and nephews. Kiara Jade's mommy packed her a bag, then off to L.A. to meet the cousins.
We all spent a fun filled day at the L.A. Zoo. Although it was hot...VERY HOT!! I know the kiddies had a good time.
I always enjoy spending time with the kiddies, I just wish that I had the same energy I had 10yrs ago. I forget how busy babies can be!

Yosemite National Park 2011
Well America, sometimes you just have to get away.
We become so bogged down with the chaos of everyday life, that we loose sight of what's important. God is an amazing artist, the natural landscapes that I saw on my visit to Yosemite left me speechless. There are no words to describe how beautiful His creation is. Isaiah writes in Isaiah 6, how the angels cried out at the glory of God...."Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory."
How often do we take moment to look at what we are blessed with...a bloom of a beautiful flower, the sound of the roaring sea, the subtle sounds of the birds in the trees, or to see a smile of a child embraced by Love.
To know that all that I saw was spoken into creation by God Himself..."the Heaven & the Earth", "the waters", "the grass & the trees" & "the creatures that roam the dry land"...(Genesis 1).
The mass Beauty of His Wonder is to be in Awe of...."The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork." Psalm 19:1
Enjoy the scenery....God Bless
