My Babies have Grown

Well, America I didn't think it would happen so fast.

I know that when we have children we are to enjoy every moment that we are with them...love them, nurture them (even if we have to whip that behind from time to time...lol!), and train them up in the way of the Lord (Proverbs 22:6).  I miss my babies...I went from being called "Mommy" to just "Ma".
Look at them...my son is now a man and my little girl is now a young lady.
Sometimes I wonder, did I teach them everything they need to know to be
productive and independent?  I am constantly praying, asking God to keep watch over them.

My son is doing well in Washington at Central Washington University.  In the Monterey Herald today (December 5,2011) John Devine wrote about Deionte leading the Wildcats in tackles this season.  Of Central Washington's 65 tackles, 41 of them were solo tackles by Deionte....that's amazing to me, because his position is "Safety". My little girl is busy playing basketball for Seaside High, active on the JROTC Drill Team and Raider team.

I am proud of my babies, and they are doing what I raise them to do.....

...and that is to "Grow and Go".

My prayer is that they accomplish the goals they set, and live successful lives with careers they enjoy.

I am so proud of you both, Mommy loves you Bigger then the Sky!!!

L.A. Babies

I love seeing my nieces and nephews.  Spending a weekend with them is like going to Disneyland, they are so entertaining and full of life.  I am proud of those little jokers...:o)
Don't they just make you smile when you look at them!
This is my little Chapel, he sure does know how to steal
          his Aun-Cee's heart.

He's very alert to be 3mo, the boy pays attention to
  his surroundings...
and he loves to chat...his name should be changed to
Chatty Chapel.  He's a happy little guy & I love him bunches!

Of course when in L.A. you will see interesting people and things...so while driving down the street, I just had to pull over and have my picture taken in this giant chair.

And of course DeNevia and Tatiana had to get in on the action!
What a great chair to use for "Time Out" for Ms. Tatiana when she gets out of line...:o)

If was a fun week weekend...I got to go hang out on Crenshaw Blvd for the Taste of Soul Celebration.
Lots of people attended, you know I don't get to see this
many black folk where I live...LOL!
some were dressed in interesting costumes.
Queen Latifia made a guest appearance, along with Naughty by Nature, Eric Bonet, and Tyrese.

It was a fun weekend for all.

Aun-Cee visits with the Babies

Over the weekend I decided to gather up the energy to go hang out with the nieces and nephews. Kiara Jade's mommy packed her a bag, then off to L.A. to meet the cousins.

And here they are....Selah, Kiara Jade, and Charlie III
I was happy to have the kids together...I pray that they will spend more weekends and holidays together as they grow. I have learned the importance of family.
We all spent a fun filled day at the L.A. Zoo. Although it was hot...VERY HOT!! I know the kiddies had a good time.

Ms. Tati was a great help on the zoo adventure. The kids were so excited running from exhibit to exhibit, and Tati helped keep a close eye on them.
This is Chapel...isn't he the cutest? I call him Chapel Apple, he has the cutest little apple head.
He doesn't look or act like the normal 6week old, he already tries to talk and likes to be talked to.
I always enjoy spending time with the kiddies, I just wish that I had the same energy I had 10yrs ago. I forget how busy babies can be!

And look who got to meet her PaPa!!! Kiara Jade had big smiles for her PaPa!
Kiara Jade is the 8th grandchild
Kiara Jade takes a moment to count the number of fun things she did on her weekend in L.A.

Yosemite National Park 2011

Well America, sometimes you just have to get away.
We become so bogged down with the chaos of everyday life, that we loose sight of what's important. God is an amazing artist, the natural landscapes that I saw on my visit to Yosemite left me speechless. There are no words to describe how beautiful His creation is. Isaiah writes in Isaiah 6, how the angels cried out at the glory of God...."Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory."
How often do we take moment to look at what we are blessed with...a bloom of a beautiful flower, the sound of the roaring sea, the subtle sounds of the birds in the trees, or to see a smile of a child embraced by Love.
To know that all that I saw was spoken into creation by God Himself..."the Heaven & the Earth", "the waters", "the grass & the trees" & "the creatures that roam the dry land"...(Genesis 1).
The mass Beauty of His Wonder is to be in Awe of...."The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork." Psalm 19:1
Enjoy the scenery....God Bless

Kiara Jade at the Park

Well, America I got to have my niece for a weekend. Baby-girl reminded me that it takes a lot of energy to care for a baby. Now that she is mobile, she is a very busy girl....she really kept me on my toes. So I thought what better way to burn off her energy then to take her to the park! When we first got to the park, she was cool with the little toddler area...she was able to crawl around the little jungle gym, and pull herself up on the railings. But when she got a glimpse of the big play area, it was all over. I had to carry her around so she could see everything that the bigger kids were doing.

I know that she would enjoy the play gym more if she could walk.
Be patient Baby Girl your time will come....:o)
Look Aun-Cee! I can pull myself up.....
Now What!

Aun-Cee, I don't think I like sitting on the grass
It's a little itchy, are you sure it's okay?
Can I eat it?
I will grab a hand full and try it out.
I don't know about this!

Aun-Cee, I think I am ready to make a move. I know I can take my first step on my own.
Give me a minute! I gotta think this out....Which foot should I move first?
Well, that went pretty good. I think for now I will stick with walking around Aun-Cee's coffee table.
Wow...Aun-Cee am I really supposed to be amused by this lump of metal.

Really, you are taking pictures of me on the leg of a kid I don't even know.

Baby-Girl had a long day, and I must say the park did the trick. When we got back to the house she ate, had a bath, and it was lights out for the night.
